Who said that opera is boring?

"Noi siamo zingarelle" belongs to La traviata, an opera by Giuseppe Verdi.
Even though the first performance of the piece was a failure, today the opera has become immensely popular and is a staple of the standard operatic repertoire.
I bet you have listened more of his music and you didn't know!

Claude Debussy

Do you remember the french composer Claude Debussy?

Debussy was born in France. He was the oldest of five children. His family had little money.

He began taking lessons at the age of 7. His aunt payed for it. By the age of 10, he entered the Paris Conservatory. He created a new music style!

Debussy was also strongly affected by the ART he saw at the Paris World Exposition of 1889.

We call this period: IMPRESSIONISM.

He was 55 when he died. He had cancer disease.
